In vivo models of inflammatory diseases

Inflammatory diseases

Zebrafish is a valuable model for diverse human inflammatory pathologies such as cancer, infections or autoinflammatory diseases. Beyond its remarkable optical transparency, this small vertebrate provides an ideal, cheap model, largely used to identify/characterize disease-causing genes related to inflammatory pathologies and study related inflammatory responses in the context of tissue regeneration. Thus it constitute a preclinical disease-relevant model to support high content screenings of anti-inflammatory therapeutic molecules for toxicity, and effectiveness.

Services are provided to study inflammation and/or tissue regeneration upon chemical, infectious or laser-induced inflammatory models focusing on tissue specific mechanisms or at the whole body level.

Combined microscopy approaches (3D, 3D+t, SHG) and/or transcriptional assays (rtqpcr) were designed to quantify inflammatory response over time and tissue regeneration.

Functional studies can be considered using Morpholino or mRNA injections.
