The team "Transferts dans les milieux géléogiques complexes" of Geosciences Rennes looks at the influence of geological structures at evolving scales on physical processes including mechanics, single-phase and multi-phase flows, conservative and reactive transports. It gathers geologists, geophysicists, geochemists and modelers on common objects from the pore scale to the watershed scale. Main developments concern currently the influence of fractures on bock-scale flow and transport processes, the upscaling of reactive transport processes in presence of multi-scale heterogeneities and the study of pore-scale mutli-phase flow transport processes on reactivity.

Coordinator : Jean-Raynald de Dreuzy, senior scientist at the CNRS is head of the WATER team at Géosciences Rennes and Associate Editor of Journal of Hydrology. HIs main research focus concerns the relations between geometrical structures where they are geological or soil architectures on macroscopic flow and transport properties. He has coauthored 60 publications in his 15 years of scientific activity.
