Presentation of research laboratories and experimental facilities

SAPS is an international research collective made up of 260 researchers and engineers, 170 technicians and 35 administrative personnel.

Created in 2015, SAPS federates 7 research units, 2 experimental units, 1 joint service unit, 2 technological core facilities and 6 technical platforms all under the joint supervision of the National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and the Environment (INRAE), AgroParisTech and the National Agency for Food, Environment and Work security (ANSES).

Experimental Infectiology of Rodents and Fish (UE 907 INRAE-IERP) : rats, mice, trout, zebra-fish
 Sciences of animals and feeds at Jouy (UE 1298 SAAJ) : rabbits, small ruminants (sheep, goats)

Joint Service unit

- UMS TEFOR Paris-SaclayCore Facilities (CNRS UMS2010/INRAE UMS1451) : zebra fish model for fundamental and medical research. TEFOR Paris-Saclay proposes integrated services in genome editing, transgenesis, 3D image acquisition and annotation focusing on aquatic organisms.

Original and shared experimental facilities

- MIMA2 Imaging core facilities: imaging of the whole animal, cell imaging, classical and confocal microscopy, image analysis.
- @BRIDGe core facilities: biological genomics, microgenomics resources center,

- Dedicated technical platforms: P3 confinement laboratories that provide international biosecurity and biosafety standards, high-throughput detection of pathogens in ticks; histology.
