Main research interests

Our team is interested in deciphering the mechanisms and regulatory pathways that are responsible for the acquisition of seed stress tolerance during late maturation, with emphasis on desiccation tolerance, longevity (storability) and seed(ling) stress tolerance. The molecular pathways underlying these traits are also studied in relation to biotic and abiotic stresses that can occur during seed development to understand their phenotypic plasticity.
