N-Index: Calculation of minimum sample size for an index

N-Index is a program which allows calculating the minimum size of a sample, when knowing the coefficient of variation of the index you want to obtain.

To calculate the minimum size of the sample with N-Index, you have to:

Elements to be indicated to N-Index
  • Indicate the number of classes of your index.
  • Fill in a table by indicating for each class the coefficient and the frequency of the observations.
  • Indicate the coefficient of variation targeted

By clicking on the “get sample size" button, you will obtain the value of the minimum size of the sample.
