Nitrogen fertiliser value

The monitoring of nitrogen in organic waste products (OWP) and soils shows that the different products have a specific nitrogen fertiliser value and that, as the spreadings are carried out, nitrogen availability increases due to the cumulative effects of the OWP. The GWS and MSW composts have the highest nitrogen value of the OWP. The nitrogen value of the OWP is high and needs to be taken into account in nitrogen balances when calculating doses for additional nitrogen fertilisation.
