Reinforce / adapt / structure the networks

The IN-SYLVA networks have considerable plasticity: successive generations of trials follow one another, each benefitting from pre-existing data and a reinterpretation of previous results.

The stakes are threefold:

  • Capitalising on previously acquired methodologies to respond to new issues.
  • Crossing site locations with ecological data maps and with National Forest Inventory data to recombine these experimental sites in view of new challenges.
  • Maintaining the networks over the long term, since monitoring is crucial to the robust study of the factors determining forest production.
