Within the LAE, the AGISEM Team (Agriculture, Biodiversity, Ecosystem Services and Multicriteria Assessment), which participates to the project, is conducting activities along two lines of research: i) relationships between agricultural practices, biodiversity and ecosystem services regarding pollination, pest regulation and nutrient cycling in arable and grassland systems, and ii) integrated assessment and modelling of agricultural systems from the field and the farm to the landscape level

In the first line, multitaxon, functional and experimental approaches are developed to identify the main drivers of regulation ecosystem services underpinning the agricultural production. Originally, functional analysis is implemented to identify determine the key interaction traits pollinators-plants networks. In the second line, the team has been working since the 2010s on integrated assessment and modelling of agricultural landscapes through the development of the agent-based platform MAELIA (http://maelia-platform.inra.fr/). Current developments aim to integrate into MAELIA new models to estimate the potential of natural regulation of pests (insects and weeds). The expertise of the AGISEM team is particularly recognized regarding determinants of diversity and abundance of pollinators and associated pollination, assessment of ecosystem services and integrated assessment and modelling to support design of sustainable agricultural systems and territories.

The main participants are : Alice Michelot, Nadia Michel, Françoise Lasserre Joulain, Jean Villerd, Olivier Therond, Helmut Meiss.

The total number of the staff is around 8, including 1 PhD and 1 post-doc.
